Izakaya Mameyakko in Shibuya

A great and funky little place where you get the good food, great Japanese sake selection, and visual appeal. Easy to spot from the main road, just look for the red entryway. It does not have a spotlight on the name, but just walk downstairs and go in. Follow the red Torii. The food menu is handwritten and kinda crazy, but has English on it. We had the spicy pork and Karaage tartar. Both delicious.There is a fun game where you spin the wheel to see how many dumplings everyone gets as their free snack. I think the seating fee per person was about ¥330. The dumplings are included in that. For sake, I recommend starting with the sampler. You get the three top shelf sake and you can start from there. Glasses of sake once you order an official order will come authentically in two glasses.Close to the station.

Delicious karaage, pork ginger skewers, and they play a fun little game where you spin a wheel to pay a cover charge for some dumplings. Also, try their house made sour plum sake.

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people

Very friendly staff and a menu with a wide variety of foods and drinks. Fun atmosphere and plenty of space for larger groups. Call ahead for reservation. It's located very close to the station and is worth a visit.

The curry pot is delicious. The cooking is also delicious.The frozen pine sour is also delicious

Had reunion with some friends from university randomly. Place was pretty chill (not as crowded as other Izakaya), staffs are really nice and food pretty good. Price is quite reasonable for Izakaya. We'll try to come back again together!!

It's a wonderful place. I haven't liked an Izakaya better. It's slightly difficult to find it. They have some offers and good support for English and an English menu. They also have vegetarian dishes. #english #vegetarian

It's a lively shop where cheerful clerks are waiting for you through the bright red torii.It is a space where you can drink plenty of fun, including active communication and recommended sake.It makes me feel the sense that it is a little fashionable and decorated with contemporary art in a sake shop.

Very funky Japanese izakaya. Staff was funny. You can spin the wheel once to get some free dumblings. I can highly recommend the karaage (fried chicken) with tartar sauce. Also California rolls were yummy.

Absolutely loved this izakaya! Great atmosphere, extremely polite waiters and incredible food, very good priced too. I had the mushrooms and these were the highlight of the night. Definitely recommended!

Entered on weekday nights. There are only two customers including us. The restaurant has a suspicious atmosphere, but surprisingly the food is delicious and the taste is gentle. Homemade tofu is delicious, and those who don't put too much bean paste served together can enjoy the taste of tofu. Mapo tofu is also delicious. There are so many kinds of sake. It's a pity that we couldn't come out with a drink late because there weren't many staff. But I enjoyed it. The image is cold, but a clerk who seems to be free gave me a light bulb container
